Combine all ingredients (except cheese and oil) in a large bowl and mix well to combine.

Divide the mixture into 12 equal portions. Roll one portion into a ball. Press one piece of the cheese into the centre of the meatball and roll to enclose cheese. Roll into a ball and then roll in flour to coat. Shake off excess flour. Repeat with remaining meatball portions, cheese and flour.

Heat a large frying pan over medium heat. Carefully place meatballs into pan and cook, turning, for 10-12 minutes or until meatballs are cooked through.

Remove meatballs from pan and serve with salad or steamed vegetables.
