Heat an air fryer to 375°F.
Place 4 hot dogs in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry until the hot dogs look plump and are slightly browned, flipping them halfway through, 5 to 6 minutes total.
If you want toasted buns, transfer a hot dog into each bun. Return to the air fryer basket in a single layer and air fry until the buns are toasted, about 2 minutes. Serve with desired toppings.
